Apple has announced a series of updates to its email client that could one day save you from an embarrassing situation at work.
At WWDC 2022, the company introduced four new "highly requested" features for its Mail app: undo send, scheduled send, follow-up suggestions, and reminder.
The functionality of each new utility is obvious, but the overall effect is to help Apple customers increase their productivity and ensure important tasks don't slip away, whether they're working on a Mac, iPhone, or iPad.

The frequency with which most of us email at work means mistakes are inevitable, from misspellings and missing attachments to more costly mistakes like sending a confidential message to the wrong recipient.
Similarly, the volume of emails arriving in your inbox (combined with the flood of notifications from collaboration tools and messaging apps) makes it easy to miss important communications or forget to act on urgent requests.
However, the latest updates to Apple Mail are designed to guard against such scenarios, helping users stay on top of their communications and fix silly bugs before damage is done.
Unfortunately, Apple customers will have to wait a while to get their hands on these new features, which will launch alongside macOS Ventura, iOS 16, and iPadOS 16 in the fall.
But according to Apple, the new Mail features are worth the wait, combining with the other WWDC announcements to make working on Mac devices easier than ever.
"macOS Ventura is packed with powerful features and new innovations that help make the Mac experience even better," said Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering.
"With helpful new features in Messages, cutting-edge search technologies in Mail, and an updated design for Spotlight, Ventura has a lot to offer and enriches many of the ways customers use their Macs."
