The best indie game of 2020 will have a sequel

After two years we finally have the sequel we deserve, Hades II has been announced and we couldn't be happier.

One of the first games to hit our radar at The Game Awards 2022 was the announcement of Hades II. For those who didn't play the first game, this rogue-like sees you battling through the myths of ancient Greek mythology.

The art style is amazing, the music is awesome, and the gameplay was captivating. While the first game garnered accolades at multiple award shows, many voted it the best indie game released in 2020.

From what the trailer suggests, the sequel will look like the original we know and love. The short trailer begins with an epic fight scene, followed by a short dialogue. Although our protagonist clearly has the will to become stronger, she is sure that it is only a matter of time. Her mentor encouraged her to venture out with the words "death to Kronos".

I'm spying on an upcoming Titan action. Cronus is known in Greek mythology as the father of Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon; they are heavyweights. He is also a Titan, the godlike being who preceded the Olympians and was at war with them before their eventual defeat. However, some stories aren't that simple, so let's hope for bigger and better action than ever before.

Don't worry; there will be friendlier faces, like Apollo and Nemesis who seem to help him on his way to the Titan figurehead. Overall, this sequel seems to be celebrating his roots while creating his own mythical name.
